About this project

The Goal

Create a fictional brand identity for a microdosing wellness company

After studying the latest research on psychedelics for mental health treatment, I saw an opportunity to explore what this category might look like as it moves mainstream. Micology became my sandbox for designing a brand that could make psychedelics feel approachable for everyday wellness.

The Problem

The wellness benefits are real and documented, but cultural baggage runs deep. Decades of stigma mean most people still think tie-dye and counterculture when they hear psychedelics. For this to work as a daily wellness ritual, it needed to feel more like a supplement than a drug.

The Solution

Balance optimism and playfulness with cues that feel trustworthy and clinical

I treated this like designing for any other functional wellness product. Clean typography, restrained layouts, premium materials. Nothing that would make someone uncomfortable keeping it on their counter. The visual idea comes from the visual metaphor of windows. Geometric frames that contain bursts of color and pattern. The idea is that this product shifts your perspective, opens new ways of seeing. The patterns feel optimistic without leaning into psychedelic clichés. The packaging feels more like a daily vitamin than anything countercultural. I wanted someone to reach for it the same way they reach for morning adaptogens.

The Impact

This was a design exploration, not a real client project. But given how quickly this category is evolving, the thinking might be useful sooner than expected.

This project was just for fun and this product does not actually exist.
